Dmanisi – Travel, Taste, Experience. Tourism Partnership Network

The “Dmanisi – travel, taste, experience” tourism cooperation network was established in 2024 as part of the project “Development of rural tourism in the Dmanisi region through the implementation of an innovative model for developing local tourism products” – a project carried out by the Society of Friends of the Korycin Land and the Georgian Ecological Agricultural Association “SEMA”. Project co-financed within the framework of the Polish development cooperation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland.

The aim of the project was to support the initiative of combining the efforts of local product producers (mainly cheeses, honey, raspberry and blackberry preserves) with the tourism industry in the Dmanisi region and jointly creating a network tourism product “Dmanisi – travel, taste, experience”.

HONEY AND HONEY PRODUCTS
FROM THE HEART
OF THE CAUCASUS MOUNTAINS

We proudly present local honey from the beautiful and hospitable Dmanisi region, located in the Lesser Caucasus Mountains. Our honey is harvested in ecologically pristine areas, at an altitude of 1,000–1,500 meters above sea level, and is rich in the aromas of acacia, elderberry, linden, licorice and mountain herbs. We also produce honey candles in various sizes and shapes, as well as propolis, which is used in medicine as an antimicrobial agent.

The DM-Ansi cooperative is a large dairy enterprise in Georgia, processing up to 45 tons of raw milk annually. The cheese produced at DM-Ansi features a variety of traditional recipes, guaranteeing superior taste and quality. Cooperative DM-Ansi (enterprise “SHVANRE”) also invites guests to experience our cheesemaking traditions on-site. Discover the rich flavors of Georgia in every bite.
